Recent work aims for a contemporary aesthetic in conjunction with the delicacy of traditional hand embroidery on linen and velvet.

Theory-wise, I'm interested in the 'soft sculpture' of artists such as Eva Hesse and Louise Bourgeois and the various re-articulations of psychoanalysis that have been used to discuss the material properties of their work. What is of particular interest to me are the kinds of spacings these articulations suggest, and the ways in which they might be used in surface designs.
